March wins the top F-Class spots in the 2024 Arizona State Long Range National Championship! Gerry Weins (FTR Champion), Timothy Vaught (F-Open Champion), and Alan Kulcak (F-Open second place) all use March to capture the top F-Class spots in this year’s Arizona State Long Range Championship! Congratulations to Gerry, Timothy and Alan!!
Timothy Vaught of Pearland Texas flew with his scope/rifle to Arizona and chose a March 8-80×56 Majesta to be aboard his F-Open Rifle to win the F-Open class of this Championship. Congratulations Timothy for becoming the F-Open Champion at the 2024 Arizona State Long Range National Championship!
His rifle details are as follows:
Action- BAT CT
Stock- McMillan KestroR
Barrel- Bartlein
Chamber – 300 WSM (Wheeler)
Powder – N555
Bullet – Berger 208 LRHT
Trigger – Bix
Rings – RRS
When asked why March and what features of his March scope did he most appreciate he stated:
“This 8-80×56 Majesta just arrived a few days before this competition. After leveling, and a tall target test, and 6 rounds to zero, it was packed up and flown to Arizona, didn’t have time to run it on a scope POI checker. Having complete confidence in tracking & POI stability in my optics is a must have absolute concrete requirement to travel and be consistent in F-Open. Having a good no wind zero at home does you no good as a competitor if you don’t have one when you arrive at the competitive location, and don’t have the opportunity to confirm on location. I’ve learned over time to have confidence and faith in the mechanical robustness, and inherent design of my March scopes to stand up to the rigors of domestic and international travel. The optical horsepower in the Majesta allowed for 80x to be used for all but one match, with very switchy wind conditions, where I elected to use 40x to gain 5 targets worth of information in the fov vs the 3 targets at 80x. Thank you to all the people of March. “
Alan Kulcak (2024 F-Open Long Range National Champion) of Richmond Texas drove with his scope/rifle to Arizona and chose a March 8-80×56 riflescope to be aboard his F-Open Rifle to win 2nd place in the F-Open class of this Championship.
His rifle details are as follows:
Action – Borden BRMXD
Stock – X-Ring Hendricks taper
Barrel – Bartlein
Chamber – 7/6.6 PRC
Powder RL16
Bullet Berger 180
Trigger Bix&Andy
Rings Nightforce with top level
Scope- March 8-80×56
When asked why March and what features of his March scope did he most appreciate he stated:
“Superb image quality and the ability to run full on 80x throughout the match. 80x is huge benefit for precision aiming. I also own a 10-60×56 and love the high master glass so much I ordered two 8-80×56 Majesta scopes that should be arriving soon. The ability to clearly see and confidence in knowing every click I make on adjustment is solid and reliable. The reliability is huge, knowing every click is accounted for when dialed, rather than waiting for a shot or two recoil events to “settle” your scope is truly what makes March a definite must for me. And the absolute quality of glass and reading mirage helps as well, but let’s keep that a secret. I’m sold 100% on March. I have one on all of my completion rifles and for me… it fits me perfectly”
Gerry Weins of Alberta Canada made the long trek down, to Arizona and chose a March 10-60×56 High Master riflescope to be his trusted optic aboard his FTR Rifle to win the FTR class in this Championship.
His rifle details are as follows:
Action- Panda
Stock- Dima
Barrel- IBI
Chamber – 308
Powder – N150
Bullet – Berger 200-20x
Trigger – Jewell
Rings – March
Scope – March 10-60×56 High Master
When asked why March and what features of his March scope did he most appreciate he stated:
“Don’t have a 8-80×56 Majesta yet, I’ve looked through them they are extremely clear and I like the MTR-WFD I think there will be a lot of benefit in difficult conditions. March is the best scope I have ever used. Thank you March.”
