Congratulations to Peter Johns (USA) for winning the 2025 European Championships in F-Open!

March Scopes is pleased to recognize Peter Johns (USA) accomplishment in winning the 2025 European Championships in F-Open with a grand aggregate score of 435.39 out of a maximum of 450.90. The competition was held at Bisley in the UK on September 4-6, 2025, and included 6 matches; 2 @ 800yards, 2 @ 900 yards and 2 @ 1000 yards.
Mr. Johns bested the field by 4 points and had the highest V-count at 49. He was shooting his 7MM PRCW in a McMillan Ketros R stock, Bat Neuvo action, Bartlein Barrel, Bramley Tuner, Bix and Andy Trigger, Berger bullets and ADG brass, and the March-X 8-80X56 HM WA Majesta riflescope with the MTR-WFD reticle, specifically designed for F-Class competition.
Mr. Johns says that the conditions were challenging, with some stiff changing winds and sometimes nasty mirage. He depends on the clear high magnification provided by the Majesta riflescope for pinpoint reticle placement and relies of the wide field of view to detect changes in the conditions as he prepares to take the shot to make any final adjustments, or even to hold fire.
Mr. Johns was an early adopter of the Majesta riflescopes and has since added several for his various match rifles. He reported that he usually keeps his scope on 80 power unless mirage gets really strong then he will reduce magnification to 60 power. The wide field of view allows the shooter to see multiple targets at the same time and ensure target number before each shot.
Congratulations to Peter Johns on this outstanding victory. We are proud to support his success with March optics and look forward to many more achievements!
