Important Notice Regarding March 5–42×56 Riflescopes

Posted 04/08/2026

About Our Company

We are a small, specialized manufacturer in Japan, much like a company that builds racing cars. We develop scopes tailored for each type of competition, aiming to achieve the highest possible performance within the rules. To meet the specific needs of individual shooters, our product range includes more than three times the number of SKUs compared to major manufacturers.

DEON (manufacturer of March Scopes) was founded by engineers with extensive experience at the world’s largest OEM manufacturer of high-end scopes. Our mission is to create the best possible products for our own brand, without being constrained by external limitations.  We are committed to pushing the boundaries of precision and quality for every shooter.

Product Overview: March 5–42×56

Since its launch in 2020, the first-generation March 5–42×56 has been very well received by customers worldwide. Building on this success, a second-generation model with enhanced image quality and wider range of turret options etc. was released in 2024 and is now available. Additionally, the PRS model was released in 2025.

In February 2026, we received scopes from two shooters for repair, and slight point-of-impact (POI) shifts were identified in the March 5–42×56 Genll model. Following this, we expanded our inspection process and implemented corrective measures, which are now reflected in current production models from the A480 onward.

Investigation and Support

As a result of our investigation, we have confirmed that the POI shift phenomenon may potentially occur in any March 5–42×56 model, regardless of generation.  There is also a possibility that a small number of previously shipped products may exhibit similar tendencies. Due to potential individual variations, unfortunately it is not possible to identify affected units by serial number for models prior to the A480.

While the number of reported cases is extremely limited and the vast majority of products perform as intended, it is our philosophy to stand behind every shooter and ensure complete confidence in our products. For this reason, we are committed to providing thorough and attentive support to any customer who may have concerns. Please note that this phenomenon has been observed only in the March 5–42×56 model, and other models are unaffected, so customers can be assured of their performance.

We have consistently shipped our products following comprehensive performance evaluations and quality inspections based on internal standards that exceed ISO requirements. In light of this matter, we have further strengthened and expanded our inspection systems and testing procedures. If you have any concerns regarding your scope, such as a point-of-impact (POI) shift, we will be happy to inspect it free of charge and provide service as necessary. We will carefully assess each case and provide appropriate support based on your specific usage.

Support in the United States

Due to this special circumstance, we have arranged a special return procedure exclusively for the March 5–42×56 model. Under this arrangement, customers are not required to ship their scopes directly to Japan; instead, they may send them to the designated facility in Texas. If you wish to proceed with inspection, please contact us at info@deon.co.jp, and we will provide you with the appropriate shipping instructions.

We sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused and remain committed to further improving the quality and reliability of our products.
