Brightness difference of illumination modules (6level, standard 4level, low illumination 4level)

Posted 05/10/2021

We have 3 types of illumination modules : 6 level switch, Standard 4 level switch and low level illumination switch. These fit into all March scopes. If you purchase another type of illumination module, you can easily replace it toolless.

Depending on the illumination module, the brightness differs. The relative brightness is as below shown in the chart. Max is 100 and MIN is 1. This is the physical pulse value. *The brightness to a human eye is different from the physical pulse value.

Relative brightness 100 40 20 10 5 1
Level 6 5 4 3 2 1
Standard 4 level 〇 〇 〇 〇
Low level 〇 〇 〇 〇
6 Level 〇 〇 〇 〇 〇 〇

Standard 4level switch :
You need to press the rubber button each time to change the brightness. When you turn it off, it doesn’t memorize the previous brightness. After one hour, illumination will automatically shut off to save battery life.

Low level illumination switch:

Depending on how you shoot, the normal illumination switch may be too bright. March offers a Low Illumination 4 level Switch. How to operate is the same as the standard switch. After one hour, illumination will automatically shut off to save battery life.

6 level switch :
You rotate with your fingertips to change the brightness (right in the picture below). The rubber button is just for switching on/off. It remembers the previous brightness, so when you turn it on it is at your desired setting. You can check the instruction manual HERE. After one hour, illumination will automatically shut off to save battery life.
(*For 5-42×56, 6 level switch (rotary type) is used. )

We are a small custom manufacturer, but we do our utmost to keep innovating.

Thank you for your continued support!
