King of 2 Miles in France 2019 – Extreme Long Range shooting

The King of 2 Miles in France was held on April 20-22, 2019 at Camp de Canjuers in Southern France.

Both days were sunny and beautiful, but unfortunately strong winds blew hard during the Final competition troubling the shooters.

The longest range in Japan where I shoot at is 300m so 2 miles is beyond my imagination.

I’m excited to see how it goes with the team which will be using our newest March Scope “GENESIS”.

Day One

There were more than 150 applications with prior ELR experience for King of 2 miles in France 2019.

Only the candidates that had chance to most likely shoot the furthest target at 2 miles were selected to participate at the King of 2 miles competition. You can say that these 11 shooters are one of the top class ELR shooters around the world!

At the prelim, 4 targets were placed.

Target 1   1427m / 1561yard → All the 11 shooters hit target 1.

Target 2   1570m / 1717yard → All the 11 shooters hit target 2.

Target 3   1743m / 1906yard → 7 shooters hit target 3.

Target 4   1829m / 2000yard → 4 shooters hit target 4.

French local shooter Bruno Put was this year’s champion. Congratulations!

It is a noteworthy fact that even at significantly different distances, with GENESIS scope BCM shooters Gian Mattia Molina and Gianfranco Zanoni were able to leave steady results at each distances.

(Please see the next paragraph “GENESIS” for further information.)

Unfortunately Gianfranco Zanoni was unable to shoot on Day 2 due to regulation ending in 6th place. Wish you luck on next year’s competition 😉

“GENESIS” scope adaptable from 20m to 3miles (4827m)

Below is the newest March Scope “GENESIS” which 2 team members of BCM used leading to an excellent results with Gian Mattia Molina (3rd place on Total / 1st place on Day 1) and

Gianfranco Zanoni (6th place on Total / 5th place on Day One).

GENESIS is an epoch making scope which extends the accuracy capability of modern rifles

without the need for modifications including inclined rails, adjustable mounts, or prism systems.

The GENESIS ELR (extreme long range) rifle scopes offers up to 400 moa of elevation,

which will allow the shooter to shoot from 20 meters up to 3 miles (4827m).

The unique design of this scope allows the shooter to always see through the central part of the lens producing clarity, definition, and minimal chromatic aberration when extreme elevation is used

even on 400 moa.

To put it simply, when you turn the elevation turret, the scope will incline.

With GENESIS scope you can adjust to whatever inclination you desire,

enabling you to shoot at various distances in a short period of time.

This is the first technology to be invented and DEON- manufacturer of March Scopes has been granted with a patent from the Japanese government for GENESIS. Now we are waiting to be granted from other countries.

▲ March Scopes UK’s booth attracted many shooters.

In Japan we DEON was updated by March Scopes UK with the ontime result which we waited breathlessly. We were excited to know that the Team BCM did a superb job. They are excellent shooters to begin with and we are delighted that “GENESIS” scope was able to play a part in their great results.

Thank you for the great work to BCM shooters and March Scopes UK who was a sponsor for this competition – King of 2 Miles in France. We are waiting for great results next year as well !!
