Congratulations to Matthew Basalla for becoming the F-Open Long Range US NRA National Champion 2023! He shot with his March 8-80×56 Majesta scope, with a score of 1594-101X. (Matthew is wearing a green cap in the picture below.)

Peter Johns took second also shooting with March 8-80×56 Majesta scope, with a score of 1593-96X. We’d like to mention that Neil Woody, Brandon Zwahr and Johnny Ingram  shot with Majesta scopes as well.

Below is a group photo of the top 10 in F-Open class. You can see Matthew Basalla and Peter Johns in the middle. Full result can be found here: https://www.desertsharpshooters.com/2023-f-class-nationals

For those who are wondering what a Majesta scope is, this new 8-80×56 High Master Majesta scope has amazing features such as a Wide Angle eyepiece, and the High Master lens system. The 25 degrees wide angle eyepiece which is 25% wider than the standard 20 degrees eyepiece, increases the image area by 156% over a regular 20 degree eyepiece. Super ED lenses incorporated in the High Master lens system suppresses chromatic aberration even more than with ED lenses and thus produce a sharper image with greater contrast.  The shimmer protection of this riflescope has been further enhanced to help deal with bad mirage conditions at high magnification. John Masek, better known as F-Class John on YouTube, who became the F-Open MR US National Champion 2023 also shot with the 8-80×56 Majesta scope.
