Stocking Distributors in each region/ Latest transportation situation to the US
Posted 08/07/2020
Due to the prolonged corona situation, I’m sure there are many shooters worrying about the shipment of their orders.
Manufacturing period
It is still the same as before the corona spread – about 1 month.
We only use genuine Japanese made parts and we are able to procure parts within Japan as usual.
1 month may seem long, but this is the result of our effort in cutting the lead time.
As we are not a mass-production factory and as all scopes are individually assembled by hand,
it can take up to 2 months to complete a scope from the beginning.
We are very fastidious about the details.
We have evolved our manufacturing process for the scopes that we build to order.
We still build every scope by hand but in these cases we will assemble the scopes
using intermediate assemblies rather than discrete parts.
This has cut down the manufacturing time by 1 month
and the final product will still go through over 20 inspections before it leaves the factory.
Stocking Distributors
If you are in a hurry, please check the availability first with our stocking distributors.
They are likely to stock the scope you are looking for 🙂

Transportation from Japan to the US for new orders
We use different shipping method for commercial products and non-commercial products (such as service required scopes).
For new orders (commercial products) it is still the same, about 3 days to arrive from Japan to the port of entry in the US.
After that it will go through the customs. In the US, domestic transportation is as usual.
However we heard that there may be a slight delay within the US
with delivery companies that are understaffed due to the corona situation.
Transportation from Japan to the US for service required scopes
We use EMS(postal service) to ship serviced scopes directly to customers.
However EMS from Japan to the US is currently suspended due to reduction of airlines which carry postal matters.
We can accept shipments from the US, and it currently takes about 1 week to ship by EMS to Japan.
If you are NOT in an urgent need of the scope, please send it to us by EMS. https://www.ems.post/en
Please contact info@deon.co.jp regarding how to export your scope.
When EMS postal service resumes, we will immediately notify on our website.
We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience and thank you ahead for your understanding.
