All March Scopes are hand built by craftsmen on a build-to-order basis at our factory in Japan. In this manufacturing process, the objective side is built up. Lenses comprising the objective lens group are being hand assembled into the frame. Lens tightening strength to frame should not be too strong or too weak. Too much tightening causes strain, while too little tightening weakens the strength. Craftsmen memorize the proper degree of tightening by hand and carefully tighten them one by one with craftsmanship.
