Video showing how to use the new Shuriken lock turrets, difference between the original and new models

Posted 02/16/2023

This is a video showing how to use the new “Shuriken lock” turrets. “Shuriken” is a star shaped throwing knife used by Ninja. The new turrets are shuriken shaped lockable elevation and windage turrets. Red is for locked state and white is for unlocked state. For shooters with color-vision deficiency, it is hard to tell the difference between red and blue or green. As it is easier to tell the difference between red and white, we have decided the color of the Shuriken lock. *Please note that the image quality is poor as this was taken with a cell phone.

This new Shuriken lock turret is assembled in all 4 new models for 2023: (1) 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope with 34mm tube (Dual reticle or FFP reticle), (2) 1.5-15×24 FFP scope with 34mm tube (Dual reticle or FFP reticle), (3) 4.5-28×52 FFP scope and (4) 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle Majesta scope

However the shuriken lock turret will add extra weight so if you are looking for a lighter scope, we recommend scopes without shuriken lock turrets. For example, 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope with capped low profile turrets or with tactical turrets weigh only 505g (17.8oz) whereas the 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope with shuriken lock turrets weigh 590g (20.81oz). Tactical turrets do not easily move even though they do not have lockable features. The weight difference is due to the difference of the tube diameter as well. 4.5-28×52 FFP scope with tactical elevation turret & capped windage turret weigh 845g (29.8oz) where as the 4.5-28×52 FFP scope with shuriken lock turrets weigh 880g (31.04oz). The optical quality are the same between the original 1-10×24 shorty FFP or 4.5-28×52 FFP and the new ones with shuriken lock turrets. If you want to save extra weight, we recommend you our original models.

We are a custom manufacturer hand building each scope with great attention to detail. Therefore we have a great variety of models and we hope you find one that suits your needs. We continue to support and stand by every shooter!
