(Q&A regarding the new models) Replacement and development purpose of the shuriken lock turrets, reticle compatibility etc.

Posted 02/21/2023

We have been receiving many questions regarding our new models for 2023 and we are very grateful for your interest. This year March Scopes is launching 4 new exciting models (including updated models) all with the new shuriken lock turrets! Today we would like to share some of the questions we received.

(1) 1.5-15×42 FFP Scope with a 34mm body tube (Dual reticle (FFP+SFP ) or FFP reticle)

(2) 4.5-28×52 FFP High Master Scope

(3) 8-80×56 SFP High Master Wide Angle Scope

(4) 1-10×24 FFP Shorty Scope with a 34mm body tube (Dual reticle (FFP+SFP ) or FFP reticle).

(Question 1) Will DEON manufacture the new 1.5-15×42 FFP scope and the updated 1-10×24 shorty FFP (with a 34mm tube) with capped turrets?

(Answer 1) We made a new shuriken lockable turret so that it is quicker than to unscrew a cap and there is a chance you may lose a cap as well. Our new shuriken lock turrets are very easy to use and they will not move during quick practical shooting or hunting.  (Video showing how to use the lockable turret: https://marchscopes.com/news/15239/) If you prefer a capped turret, our original 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope and 1.5-15×42 SFP scope offer that option. *The original 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope and the updated 1-10×24 shorty FFP scope have the same optical quality.

(Question 2) Can DEON repair and replace the tactical or normal turret to the new shuriken lock turret?

(Answer 2) Unfortunately the scope structures with/without the shuriken lock turrets are different and the axis of the shuriken lock does not fit the scope body without shuriken lock turrets. Therefore, we are sorry for not being able to offer a replacement service. However, please be assured that tactical turrets will not move easily and normal turrets are capped.

(Question 3) Can current SFP reticles be assembled in the new 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle Majesta scope? On the contrary, can a reticle designed for 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle be assembled in other SFP scopes?

(Answer 3) The eyepiece for normal SFP scopes is about 20 degrees, whereas the 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle scope has a wide 25 degrees eyepiece. Unfortunately the inner structure is different between eyepieces with different degrees and we can’t assemble each other’s reticles into the other. So the answer to the question is No. That is why new reticles for 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle are specially made.

(Question 4) Can the 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle Majesta Scope be used for ELR shooting?

(Answer 4) This scope has a highest magnification, 80x, in the world as of today, so we understand that this may be the reason why you wanted to use this scope for ELR. We are a custom scope manufacturer and all of our optics products are developed for different purposes, showing different qualities. If you wish to shoot ELR, we recommend that you shoot with our Genesis models. 6-60×56 Genesis FFP scope has an elevation travel amount of 114MIL/400MOA, 4-40×52 Genesis FFP scope has an elevation travel amount of 86MIL/300MOA. For a traditional scope, 5-42×56 FFP scope with an elevation travel amount of 40MIL/130MOA is also recommendable. The unparalleled features of the new 8-80×56 High Master Wide Angle Scope are the outstanding image quality and the 25 degrees wide angle eyepiece. Though it is suitable for long range shooting, it does not have enough elevation travel amount for ELR. For your reference, our past article explains the key points in optical design and the features of each scope so please refer to it. (This does not include new models.)
